Our news teams were working overtime. We were still editing Hurricane Katrina when Hurricane Wilma hit. Power was out in both locations and the generators were hard at work. Hurricane Katrina aired nationally on the Public Broadcasting system and footage from Katrina aired on local news stations in South Florida.

Hurricane Wilma

Hurricane Wilma took everyone by surprise. Not that we didn’t know it was coming, we didn’t realize the intensity of its brut force. Power was out in most parts of Broward and Palm Beach Counties for nine days. Our team had to travel to Ft. Pierce to refuel our generators. Even Florida’s Turnpike couldn’t assist.
